Savor the Summit 2011 Recap!

Hello fellow bluebirds!

What a beautiful weekend ahead of us and an extra day to enjoy it! Although it will be a chance for many people to relax and enjoy the sunshine, here at Bluebird we are in full swing! So make sure you have an extra cocktail and hot dog and enjoy the 4th for us.

We hope you had a chance to "savor" the summit and dine at the grande table last Saturday night on Main Street. It was a wonderful evening filled with gorgeous table scapes, delightful eats, and wonderful people to mingle with.

If you didn't have a chance to stop by and see our décor at High West's table-have no fear, a full recap is in store.

The centerpiece and inspiration of our tables were the most beautiful succulents from Cactus and Tropicals. I love picking anything from Cactus and Tropicals because I feel like I just stepped into a jungle oasis and all is good in the world. We picked out all different shapes, colors and sizes and these little beauties set the perfect tone for a rustic yet elegant table. Long burlap runners, tall lanterns, mossy tea lights, and authentic horseshoes completed our look. We also had a lot of fun wrapping burlap on hay bales and using the gorgeous high west whiskey barrels to add some extra seating.

Guests dined on this fabulous menu prepared by Chef Dumas. As you can see, each course was paired with a signature cocktail or High West spirit to compliment flavors and make sure that each guest enjoyed the whole High West experience! After all, not many towns can claim that they have their very own whiskey distillery right on Main Street.

Savor the Summit is an great opportunity to unite the locals and we are so happy to be a part of it. A big thank-you to High West for giving us the opportunity to put our creative juices to work!

Let us know what you think and if you were lucky enough to be at High West's table, share what fun you had. We are already looking forward to next year.

We have a busy few weeks ahead of us and will do our best to keep you in the loop. Don't forget to "like" us on Facebook if you haven't already-and tell your friends!

Enjoy this Bluebird day!
